About Me and My Life
 

My "Un"-favorite Things

Born in North Carolina to Haitian immigrant parents and an older brother, my family moved to Florida when I was about 3.  After living in Miami for a couple of years, we moved north to Boca Raton where I grew up.  We landed there and witnessed the town develop around us, ultimately creating a bit of a fish-out-of-water sense for me.  However, through hard work, I left high school with a top-notch education and very primed for college.


I attended Tulane University in New Orleans and law school in Virginia and moved back to south Florida in 2004.  Since then, my life has taken quite a few unexpected, but wonderful turns!  I found God that same year (or, really, He found me!) and a wonderful, come-as-you-are, we-love-EVERYBODY church home at St. Joseph's.

 

I created a fitness blog called Health Jems (also on Facebook).   I maintained that blog for a couple of years prior to my pregnancy and loved the sense of purpose, interaction, and renewal it gave me.  It was amazing!

 

My son, Jordon was born in 2012 and has been the absolut light of my life!  His laugh is my favorite sound (finally de-throning the sound of a good meat sizzle), and his love of music and dance is just a joy to behold.  He reminds me everyday that we should all just keep it simple: Live. Laugh. Love.


I rallied when my favorite morning radio talk show (The KVJ Show) was taken off of the air, launching a full-scale online media campaign to bring the show back. My proven capabilities to move the masses (KVJ Nation) to action, inspire others, and achieve success on such a level reignited my fire for multimedia promotional work. To that end, I founded Flint Stone Media in June of 2014.


My most recent project has been founding the Florida Podcast Network, which has grown out of a passion for podcasting discovered as I created my own podcasts, Curve the Cube and Eggheads After Hours, along with my first network, the Flint Stone Media Podcast Network!  I get to meet and talk to all kinds of great people while inspiring others to pursue their dreams, and it is AWESOME.  I hope you check out all the shows on the Network--especially my latest, the Finding Florida Podcast!!
